- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
- Prep the Pan: Line a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add pumpkin purée and vanilla.
- Combine: Gently fold in the dry ingredients until smooth. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, until the cake springs back when touched.
- Roll the Cake: While warm, turn the cake onto a clean, powdered-sugar-dusted towel. Peel off parchment and roll the cake with the towel from the short end. Cool completely.
- Make Filling: Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Assemble: Unroll the cooled cake, spread with filling, and roll back up without the towel. Wrap tightly and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Serve: Dust with powdered sugar, slice, and enjoy.
Notes
Roll the cake while warm to prevent cracking. Chill before slicing for the cleanest swirl. You can freeze the pumpkin roll for up to three months—just thaw overnight before serving.
