- 500g puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt, pepper, and herbs (sage, thyme, or your choice)
- Optional: breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: Mix sausage meat with salt, pepper, and herbs. Add onions or breadcrumbs for texture if desired.
- Roll the Pastry: Roll out puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thickness.
- Assemble Rolls: Place the sausage filling in a line down the pastry’s center. Fold the pastry over and seal edges with a fork.
- Cut and Glaze: Cut the long roll into smaller sausage rolls and make a few slits on top. Brush with egg wash.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
