Description

This One-Pot Creamy Beef and Garlic Butter Pasta is a fast, comforting, and flavor-packed dish that combines seasoned ground beef, tender pasta, and a rich garlic butter cream sauce — all made in just one pot. Perfect for busy weeknights, this family-friendly meal is ready in under 30 minutes with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (substitute with ground turkey, chicken, or plant-based crumbles)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or butter)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning (or a mix of dried oregano and basil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)
  • 2 cups milk (whole milk preferred, or 2% for lighter version)
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, shells, or gluten-free pasta)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, for 5–7 minutes until browned.
  2. Add Aromatics: Stir in the chopped onion and cook for 3 minutes until soft. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes; cook for 1 more minute.
  3. Pour in Liquids: Add beef broth and milk. Stir well and bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Cook Pasta: Stir in pasta. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  5. Make it Creamy: Stir in butter, mozzarella, and parmesan. Mix until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

If sauce thickens too much before pasta is fully cooked, add a splash more broth or milk. For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or spinach before adding pasta. Adjust garlic and cheese to your preference for richness.
