Description

These Mini Sausage Wreaths with Mustard Dip are a festive, crowd-pleasing appetizer made with juicy mini sausages wrapped in flaky puff pastry and shaped into a beautiful holiday wreath. They bake to a golden, crispy finish and pair perfectly with a creamy mustard dip. Easy to prepare, fun to serve, and ideal for gatherings, parties, and holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 24–30 mini sausages or cocktail franks
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning
  • Pinch of coarse salt
  • Fresh rosemary for garnish
  • Mustard or honey mustard, for dipping

Mustard Dip:

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prep the Puff Pastry: Place the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 1-inch strips.
  2. Wrap the Sausages: Wrap each mini sausage with one strip of puff pastry, gently sealing the ends.
  3. Shape the Wreath: Arrange the wrapped sausages in a circular wreath shape on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Brush and Season: Brush the tops with egg wash, then sprinkle sesame seeds and coarse salt.
  5. Bake: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18–25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown.
  6. Mix the Mustard Dip: Stir together Dijon mustard, honey, mayonnaise, and a pinch of salt.
  7. Serve: Place the dip in the center of the wreath, garnish with rosemary, and serve warm.

Notes

Keep the puff pastry cold for best results. You can assemble the wreath ahead of time and refrigerate it until baking. For extra flavor, try brushing the pastries with garlic butter after baking.
