Description

This Hot Sausage Feta Honey Pizza is the perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. Crispy crust topped with spicy sausage, creamy feta, gooey mozzarella, and a drizzle of golden honey creates a flavor combination that feels both gourmet and comforting. Ready in under an hour, it’s an easy yet impressive meal for pizza night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball of pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 pound hot Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled (substitute chorizo, turkey sausage, or plant-based)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or hot honey for extra spice)
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste
  • Fresh basil or arugula, optional for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface into your desired shape and thickness.
  2. Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook hot Italian sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease and set aside.
  3. Build the Base: Place dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle minced garlic evenly over the surface.
  4. Add the Cheese: Spread shredded mozzarella as the first layer, then crumble feta evenly on top.
  5. Add the Sausage: Scatter cooked sausage across the pizza. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired.
  6. Bake: Transfer to the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  7. Finish with Honey: Remove from oven and drizzle honey over the hot pizza. Add fresh basil or arugula if desired. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier kick, use hot honey instead of regular honey. To save time, use pre-baked crusts or flatbreads. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best results.
