A golden, buttery grilled cheese sandwich filled with sweet grilled peaches, sharp white cheddar, and a drizzle of honey—this sweet-savory combo makes the perfect summer bite with a gourmet twist.
Ingredients
1 ripe peach, sliced into ¼-inch wedges
2 slices sourdough bread
2–3 slices sharp white cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon softened butter
Instructions
Step 1: Grill the peach slices in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes per side, until lightly caramelized.
Step 2: Butter one side of each bread slice.
Step 3: On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer cheddar, grilled peaches, honey, and more cheese (optional).
Step 4: Top with the second slice, buttered side out.
Step 5: Grill sandwich in a skillet over medium-low heat, 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and melted.
Step 6: Let rest 1 minute, slice, and serve.
Notes
Use Fontina or Havarti if white cheddar isn’t available.
Fresh peaches work best; thawed frozen peaches can be used if patted dry.
Add arugula, basil, or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
