Description

This Classic Moist Easy Banana Bread is the ultimate comfort food—sweet, soft, and made in just one bowl. Perfect for breakfast, snack time, or dessert, this recipe delivers rich banana flavor with minimal effort. No fancy tools needed—just ripe bananas and a few pantry basics. A true staple you’ll make again and again!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter (or coconut oil)
  • 3/4 cup sugar (white, brown, or coconut)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas: In a large mixing bowl, mash bananas with a fork until mostly smooth.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: Stir in melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Add dry ingredients: Mix in baking soda and salt, then add flour. Stir just until no streaks remain. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour and bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool and serve: Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor. You can make this recipe healthier by swapping butter for applesauce and using whole wheat flour. For a fun twist, stir in nuts, blueberries, or a swirl of peanut butter before baking.
