Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe tomatoes, sliced

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 prebaked pie crust

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese blend

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil


Instructions

  • Slice the tomatoes and sprinkle with salt. Let sit for 10–15 minutes, then pat dry to remove excess moisture.

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Make sure your pie crust is prebaked and cooled.

  • Layer tomatoes and chopped basil in the pie crust.

  • In a bowl, mix mayonnaise and shredded cheese. Spread this mixture over the tomatoes.

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
