Description

Cheesesteak Tortellini Bliss is the ultimate comfort dish that combines the bold flavors of a Philly cheesesteak with rich, cheesy tortellini. Perfect for weeknight dinners or casual entertaining, this creamy pasta comes together in just 35 minutes and satisfies every craving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 20 oz package of cheese tortellini (refrigerated or frozen)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sauté the Veggies: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until softened and slightly browned.
  2. Add Garlic and Steak: Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 3–5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the Tortellini: While steak cooks, boil tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low. Add heavy cream, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add the Cheese: Stir in shredded cheese until melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Combine Everything: Return cooked steak and veggies to skillet. Add tortellini. Toss everything gently to coat in the sauce and simmer for 1–2 more minutes.
  7. Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Use deli roast beef for a quick shortcut. Swap out steak for chicken or mushrooms for variation. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy twist. To reheat leftovers, add a splash of milk or cream to loosen the sauce.
