  • Author: nakisha
  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: About 24 balls 1x

Description

These no-bake Butterfinger Balls are a sweet and crunchy peanut butter dessert packed with flavor. With just a few ingredients and no oven required, they’re perfect for parties, holidays, or a quick sweet snack. Easy to make and even easier to eat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1½ cups powdered sugar

  • 1 cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars (about 4 fun-size bars)

  • 1½ cups semisweet or milk chocolate chips

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother coating)

Instructions

  • Prep the Filling:

    • In a large bowl, mix peanut butter and softened butter until smooth and creamy.

    • Gradually add powdered sugar and stir until a thick dough forms.

  • Add the Crunch:

    • Stir in the crushed Butterfinger candy. Mix until evenly combined.

  • Form the Balls:

    • Use a small cookie scoop or tablespoon to roll the mixture into balls.

    • Place balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill in the freezer for 20–30 minutes.

  • Melt the Chocolate:

    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.

  • Dip and Set:

    • Using a fork or skewer, dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off.

    • Place back on parchment paper and let the coating set at room temperature or in the fridge.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead Tip: You can prepare the peanut butter mixture and freeze the rolled balls (uncoated) for up to 1 month. Dip in chocolate when ready to serve.

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.

  • Substitutions: Try almond butter instead of peanut butter, or use white chocolate for coating.
