Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie or homemade)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
- Optional garnish: sliced green onions or crumbled blue cheese
- Dippers: tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, crackers, or bread slices
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the Base: In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, hot sauce, and ranch (or blue cheese) dressing. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Add the Chicken: Fold in the shredded chicken and half of the shredded cheddar cheese until everything is evenly coated.
- Assemble: Spread the mixture into an oven-safe baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake: Bake for 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and golden on top.
- Serve: Let it rest for 5 minutes, garnish with green onions or blue cheese if desired, and serve warm with your favorite dippers.
Notes
For a milder dip, reduce the hot sauce to 1/4 cup. To make it spicier, add diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne pepper. This dip can also be made in a slow cooker—just combine ingredients and cook on low for 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally.
