Description

This Buffalo Chicken Dip is the ultimate party appetizer—creamy, cheesy, spicy, and packed with shredded chicken. It’s a crowd favorite that comes together in about 30 minutes and is perfect for game day, holidays, or any get-together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie or homemade)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • Optional garnish: sliced green onions or crumbled blue cheese
  • Dippers: tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, crackers, or bread slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the Base: In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, hot sauce, and ranch (or blue cheese) dressing. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the Chicken: Fold in the shredded chicken and half of the shredded cheddar cheese until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Assemble: Spread the mixture into an oven-safe baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  5. Bake: Bake for 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and golden on top.
  6. Serve: Let it rest for 5 minutes, garnish with green onions or blue cheese if desired, and serve warm with your favorite dippers.

Notes

For a milder dip, reduce the hot sauce to 1/4 cup. To make it spicier, add diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne pepper. This dip can also be made in a slow cooker—just combine ingredients and cook on low for 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally.
