Ingredients
For the crust:
1 ball of pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
For the topping:
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 cup fresh blackberries
1 tbsp honey (plus more for drizzling)
1/2 tsp lemon zest
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella (optional, for extra meltiness)
A handful of fresh basil leaves
1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.Prepare Dough
Roll out your pizza dough into a 10–12 inch circle on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.Mix Ricotta Base
In a small bowl, combine ricotta, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.Spread the Cheese
Use a spoon to evenly spread the ricotta mixture over the dough, leaving about a ½-inch border.Add Toppings
Scatter fresh blackberries over the ricotta. If using, sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top for extra gooeyness. Drizzle with honey.Bake the Pizza
