Description
These Apple Pie Bombs are the ultimate quick and cozy dessert. Soft dough balls are stuffed with warm cinnamon-spiced apple filling, baked until golden, and rolled in a buttery cinnamon sugar coating. They’re bite-sized, delicious, and perfect for fall or anytime you crave apple pie flavor without the fuss.
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or crescent roll dough (homemade dough works too)
- 1 cup apple pie filling (canned or homemade)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: caramel sauce, cream cheese filling, or chopped nuts for variations
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Flatten the Dough: Take each biscuit or crescent roll piece and press into a small circle.
- Add Filling: Spoon 1–2 teaspoons of apple pie filling into the center of each dough circle.
- Seal the Bombs: Pinch and fold the edges over the filling to form a ball. Place seam-side down.
- Butter and Coat: Dip each ball in melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Bake: Arrange on the baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with caramel or glaze if desired.
Notes
Seal the dough tightly to keep the filling inside. For a fun twist, try adding a caramel candy in the center before baking. These are best enjoyed warm but can be reheated in the oven to restore crispness.
